If you are in a noisy setting, like a pub or meeting place or shops, just leave and find somewhere quiet to gather your thoughts. Put your own needs first.

Avoid noisy places. Or reduce noise by using ear defenders, earplugs, or noise-cancelling headphones… just when noise is too much. This can help on train journeys too.
