Keeping occupied

During the lockdown, I’ve become so confused by all the messages coming out and the rules changing that I no longer watch the news. I rely on my daughters to tell me when something changes.

Pets: My main enjoyment of the day is interacting with our dogs. I still walk them, keeping my distance from humans. Ethel and I obviously chat, trying not to talk about Covid, except with our [...]

But what do I do in isolation? I enjoy playing games on my iPad, definitely not educational ones either!  (Listen to Martin Robertson’s Dementia Diary here).

Learning: There are free courses run by the Open University.  We need to keep those old cogs whirring for as long as we can! (Read more tips from the PACE group here).

Keep up a routine, albeit a different one in some circumstances. Structure your day to give it meaning.

Quiz shows, Countdown and the Chase have been keeping my mind occupied during the day.
