Don’t worry if you have to stop and gather your thoughts, it’s OK to take your time. Don’t be embarrassed at being you. It’s other people’s problem.

I write each paragraph in a different colour, with a note to pause in between them.

Try using an online tele-prompter for your speech. Some have voice-activated scrolling.

I print my speech out in large font.

Number all the pages of your speech in case you drop them. Maybe take a second set as back-up?

Always wear what is comfortable (especially shoes!). Be true to yourself.
