Life outside home – Flying

Take headphones, as the noises on the plane can be annoying especially screaming children (which I know can’t be helped).

You can check in at the airport reception and get a lanyard, and also access to the quiet area.

Flying can be a stressful time for anyone. If you are travelling by air, plan your journey well, allowing plenty of time to arrive and check in. Also make sure you can make any transfers comfortably.(Read SDWG’s booklet ‘Travelling with Dementia’ here).
