Tips for…
Life outside home – Driving

I have an extra lightweight wheelchair which will fit into the car boot.

I have an attachment with battery and wheel that fits onto my wheelchair.  Then I go about 15 mph! It will last several miles easily.

I always have 2 bright ribbons tied on my car, so I can see where I have parked it.

A Blue Badge is for people with a disability (including dementia), to place on the car dashboard to give parking concessions. Apply through your local council.

I always close my eyes in a train or a car, or I get overloaded.

While we’re in Covid, I’m happier in a car than on public transport, as I can still be in my own bubble.
