I am Welsh, 79, living back in South West Wales after 40 years implementing computer systems, mainly in England but also sur la continent, and 12 years small holding in Bulgaria.

My self-monitored cognitive decline began on the 4th of March 2016, my first amyloid plaque appeared in June 2021 and I was diagnosed with mixed dementia (mainly Alzheimer’s with a bit of Vascular) in June 2022. Since then I have thrived on donepezil and spend 2 hours at least each day doing what I can to maintain my cognitive resilience (puzzles, quizzes, games, a little bit of computer programming, learning Welsh and various other online courses, and engaging with the scientific research community via PPI and PPIE).
